Mirik is a small lake town on the road between Siliguri and Darjeeling, and one of the easiest day trips in the hills. We run it as a day package or as a stop on the way up.
Fixed prices for the entire vehicle, including tolls and parking. Tap a route for its distance, travel time and fares by vehicle type.

Mirik is built around Sumendu Lake, with a painted footbridge across the middle and a path that circles the water in under an hour. At around 1,500 metres it is gentler than Darjeeling in every sense: smaller, flatter and far less busy.
Because it sits on the Siliguri–Darjeeling road via Pashupati Nagar, Mirik works best as a stop built into your transfer rather than a separate journey. Tell us when booking and the driver will route through it at no extra charge beyond the itinerary.
Clear from October to December, and pleasant from March to May when the tea gardens are flushing. The lake is at its fullest just after the monsoon, though the approach roads can be slow in heavy rain.
Mirik is about 45 km from Darjeeling, roughly two hours, and around 50 km from Siliguri. Many guests take it on the way between the two rather than as a return trip.
Send us your dates and pickup point and we will come back with a fixed fare and a confirmed driver.
